It is with heavy heart to announce that our dear friend Lee Ripley, father of Henry Ripley one of our great competitors has passed away.
Lee Ripley was a friendly and energetic soul that often was found talking to other parents around the club. He would regularly attend social events or awards evenings with a huge smile and fantastic joke to share. Lee will be missed sincerely by the entire club and our thoughts and prayers go to the Ripley family.
We caught up with some our coaches for their comment of the late Lee Ripley:

Brayden Quinn
“Lee was honestly one of the brightest individuals you’d see at the club, always smiling or trying to make you laugh. His infectious chuckle and jokes always made me giggle, even when I wasn’t feeling my best. We’ve lost a great man and my thoughts go to the family sincerely.”
Bill Sargent Jnr
“It’s difficult not to miss someone who brought such positivity to those around him. Rarely distracted by anything sour or boring, he always managed to wring a giggle out of me and sadly will be missed by anyone lucky enough to have met him.”
From the entire club here at United Judo, Lee may you rest in peace you wonderful wonderful man.
