U8 Sho (youth) gradings

Sho Grades are the BJA (British Judo Associations) grading awards for the fundamentals of the sport for young ages. Judo for kids is hugely beneficial, from fitness and interest to motivation and drive – not to mention get awesome medals for show and tell at school!

The Sho grade system is made up from 9 award levels with represent different colour belts, designed to reward young players whilst they develop physical, technical, social and psychological skills.

Once a player reaches 8 years of age they are upgraded to the Mon grading system, a more in depth and rewarding syllabus.
